Embracing the new normal & the modern workplace

An innovative IT support service

Award-winning totality services, one of London’s leading managed IT support providers, launched WFH IT Support in 2020 – a new venture to better serve customers in the post-Covid-19 commercial world – an innovative IT support service specifically for those businesses that have people working at home or remotely.

A service to support the ‘new normal’ of work

According to a 2020 survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), even before the Coronavirus pandemic around 1.7 million people in the UK worked mainly from home with another 8.7 million saying they’ve done so at some point.

Then, as we all know, the Covid-19 lockdown boosted working from home to a whole new level.

The pandemic proved what most people in the IT industry already knew: many of us can work effectively from wherever we can access a Wi-Fi connection, and the right Cloud-based technology.

Experts predicted that working remotely would be the ‘new normal’ for business, with people working from home (WFH), working from anywhere (WFA) or a hybrid version of the two. And it’s these businesses and people the WFH IT Support team will serve.

WFH IT Support
65
of UK’s adult population working from home during the lockdown
13
of employees are more productive overall, and take fewer breaks and sick days
80
of people say that working from home has improved their overall health and wellbeing
988
person's CO2 emission reduction, equivalent to CO2 absorbed by 44 trees in a year

The purpose of WFH IT Support

The WFH IT Support service aims to maximise the efficiency, productivity and up time of their clients’ remote IT, while keeping the costs and downtime associated with it to a minimum, and so deliver optimal business continuity and ROI.

However, with remote working comes an increased cybersecurity risk to IT infrastructures. So the WFH IT Support team is also committed to keeping their clients’ data safe from hackers, breaches and the many other online threats.

From supporting those working from home, to supporting people experiencing homelessness

One positive aspect of the Coronavirus lockdown was the UK government, local authorities and various charities working together to get more than 90% of homeless people off the street and into hotels and other safe locations.

The risk is that homelessness will increase again as the pandemic passes and people made jobless by it are evicted from their homes.

As a London-based business, the WFH IT Support team feels passionately about helping the city’s homeless. So when opening up 2 soup kitchens of their own to help those in need proved too complex, they decided to partner with Crisis instead, to get more help, to more people, in less time.

WFH IT Support will donate 5% of the company’s income from all support plans to Crisis.

Experts who already had history in their future venture

The WFH IT Support service is powered and delivered by the totality services team, which has earned two consecutive Feefo Gold Trusted Service Awards, Five Star ratings from both Trustpilot and Google and a 98% client retention rate.

They have also achieved certification to one of the world’s most sought-after information security standards – ISO 27001.

What’s more, the totality services team had already put the WFH IT Support concept to the test, even before they’d launched it. As the Covid-19 crisis turned into lockdown, they took more than 120 clients, including thousands of users, to fully remote home working within days of it starting. And since then they’ve successfully kept those clients productive, safe and secure. No fuss, no drama, no hiccups. Just service excellence and peace of mind delivered as standard.
